A Word From Pastor Gayle

Welcome to Lake of the Isles Lutheran Church - a community of faith that seeks to be faithful to the mission of God, a mission of love and redemption.  Click in the banner above on "Our Mission and Our Vision" to see how we think about who we are and what we believe God is calling us to do.

We are a welcoming community, open to anyone and everyone who seeks to encounter and to be encountered by God.  We believe that salvation is a relationship of love with God that is lived out in relationships of love with God's people.  Whatever we do as a community of faith emerges from the relationships we form with each other and with God.

We are a worshipping community.  We gather together weekly around word and sacrament to confess our faith, to express our trust and our hope, to receive the gifts of grace, to learn from each other and from God, and to be encouraged to live as Christian men, women, and children in the Monday through Saturday world.

We are a serving community. It matters to us when any of God's beloved people suffer because of neglect, poverty, oppression, injustice, violence, the indifference of an afluent society, illness, grief, loneliness, an inability to cope with the demands of modern living.  We have a vision of shalom, complete well-being and fullness of life for all. We are working to develop opportunities for our people to make a difference - particularly through N.I.P, the Neighborhood Involvement Program, and our cooperation with Community Emergency Services and Our Savior's Homeless Shelter.

Browse around our web site.  I'm glad you're here.  I look forward to seeing you in church.
