MINISTRY TEAMS AT LAKE OF THE ISLES

The mission and ministry of Lake of the Isles is carried out by the staff and ministry teams of the congregation.  Each team has overall responsibility for planning in their area of ministry and for recruiting members and friends of the church to do the work of mission and ministry in that area.

The Worship and Music Ministry Team provides opportunity for members, friends, and visitors to encounter God in worship that is faithful to our Lutheran tradition but relevant to the realities of modern life--through musical diversity, contemporary language, and appropriate liturgical settings.

The Learning Ministry Team provides for the Christian education of the congregation through formal and structured classes for all ages, the coordination of programs that enhance the learning process, and the enabling of members of the congregation to identify and develop gifts and passions for Christian service.

The Connection Ministry Team keeps communication, relationships, and community alive in the congregation by coordinating small group opportunities, organizing "people caring for people" ministries, and communicating what's going on in the congregation.

The Invite and Welcome Ministry Team creates a warm and hospitable environment at the church that makes members, friends, and visitors feel welcome and at home.

The Social Outreach Ministry Team provides the members and friends of Lake of the Isles with opportunities to demonstrate our faith through tangible action in our community and around the world.

The Prayer Ministry Team keeps prayer at the heart of our community of faith by providing for the regular teaching of and practice of prayer.

The Stewardship Ministry Team works to ensure that we have the human, material, and financial resources needed for the work of God in this place.
